Use global settings
Open UpDock Settings and choose Accessibility. Your global choices are the defaults used across Mini-Docks. This is the fastest way to make all of UpDock larger or turn Speak on Hover on everywhere.

UpDock can enlarge icons and labels and speak Dock Item names as you point to them. You can apply the same choices everywhere or tune one Mini-Dock.
Two ways to choose accessibility settings
Customize one Mini-Dock
Select a Mini-Dock, open its settings, and choose its accessibility options. A Mini-Dock can follow the global settings or use its own choices. Use this when one Dock needs larger items or speech without changing the others.
Accessibility features
Large Icons
Increases the size of Dock Item icons. This makes targets easier to identify and gives each item a larger visual presence.
Large Label Text
Increases the text size used for Dock Item names. Turn labels on in the Mini-Dock’s appearance settings if they are currently hidden.
Speak on Hover
Speaks a Dock Item’s name when the pointer rests over it. This can help confirm an item before you click. Moving between items speaks the newly focused name.
A useful starting setup
- Turn on Large Icons.
- Turn on labels and Large Label Text.
- Turn on Speak on Hover.
- Open a Mini-Dock and move across its items to test the result.
- Adjust individual Mini-Docks that need a different setup.
UpDock also works with macOS accessibility tools such as VoiceOver, keyboard navigation, display contrast settings, and system speech voices.
