Tester Goal
Test the new features as well as existing workflows, then report reproducible issues with clear steps, macOS version, UpDock build, and affected resource files.
What’s included in beta version 0.3.0.0 (b 207)
- AppleScript Dock Items now execute in an isolated helper process with timeout, cancellation, structured errors, progress reporting, and JSON-lines logging.
- Running indicators, duplicate-click protection, named and timed failure messages, and Reload Script from File improve individual script workflows.
- New scripting-dictionary commands execute complete folders of AppleScripts automatically or interactively.
- Script collections support source, compiled scripts, script bundles, and AppleScript applets while preserving deterministic execution order.
- Settings lists and Automation History grow with the window while their controls remain aligned and accessible.
- Palette Mini-Docks can transfer a complete small collection of Dock Items together; duplicated palettes become normal Mini-Docks.
What’s included in beta version 0.2.3 (b 163)
- Hierarchical paths and hierarchy reports in directory-tree, Markdown, CSV, and TSV formats, including AppleScript access.
- URL and Clipping Dock Items from dragged text, plus improved Finder and internal Dock Item dragging.
- Media Dock Items for local audio, video, non-destructive clips, editor-ready dragging/export, and Apple Music references.
- Launch at Login controls, expanded contextual menus, custom icons, separators, and Settings refinements.

- Soundboard playback, same-item retriggering, simultaneous sound files, and saved volume.
- QuickTime and other local video previews, resizing, standard controls, and closing during playback.

- Apple Music song and playlist references, missing files, malformed links, and persistence after relaunch or transfer.
Mini-Dock Management
- Active-first and ABC sorting, exact restoration of manual order, and Active/Inactive terminology.
- Default and customized Shift Items, default mail app, header order, and persistence.
- Create a Mini-Dock from folder contents and copy complete nested folders to another Mini-Dock.
- Search-result single-click selection, double-click activation, and Configuration-column updates.
Core App Behavior
- Install, signing, notarization, update, activation, license import, deactivation, and offline launch.
- Create, rename, duplicate, delete, activate, reorder, import, export, share, back up, and restore Mini-Docks.
